TEATER SLÁVA (SWEDEN)
A secular rite for modern mankind.
The unique singing style, flowing movement and seamless ensemble work is the trademark of Swedish physical theatre company Teater Sláva. In this intensely beautiful, violent and meditative performance the three women ensemble explores the idea of the three faiths of Nordic mythology. They sit under the life tree twining life threads. Lives get measured, and cut. Some short, some long.
‘Their candlelit choruses whisk their spectators straight to the heart of another country’ (The Guardian on Döderskratt, 2004).
Winner, Best Stage Show, for Döderskratt, Brighton Fringe 2005.
